Caela Farren, Ph.D. is the author of Who's Running Your Career? and a leading advocate for workers in the business world. She is the CEO of Mastery Works, Inc., located in the Washington, D.C. Area.

Dr. Farren has been in the field of career management for almost 30 years. She has been instrumental in the development of state-of-the art career tools, workshops, and career resource centers. Her Mastery Works tools and workshops are now being used in more than 30 countries and are available in four languages. She has provided workforce and career management training to many of the Fortune 500 companies and associations, including AT&T;, MTV, American Express, Nissan and BASF.

An experienced talk show guest, Dr. Farren has made many appearances on television and radio, including CNN, NBC, Associated Press Radio Network, UPI Radio Network, The Business Channel, Bloomberg Television and Radio, and many others. She has also been featured in many national newspapers and magazine, including the Los Angeles Times, Associated Press, Newsweek, and USA Today.

Dr. Farren is the recipient of the prestigious 1995 Walter Storey Career Practioner Award. She has authored numerous articles and is co-author of Designing Career Development Systems , which is regarded in the Human Resource industry as the definitive book on the subject.

She holds a Ph.D. in Organization Behavior from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH.
